يعبّر التراث الثقافي عن الهوية الوطنية ومكنون الثقافة ومكوناتها الأصيلة، وتقع علينا مسؤولية الحفاظ عليه، وتوثيقه، ونقله للأجيال القادمة، ليبقى حياً في تفاصيلنا اليومية، عبر ابتكار وسائل تضمن استمرار ممارساته في إطار معاصر يواكب نمو المجتمع.
تدعم رؤية دائرة الثقافة والسياحة – أبوظبي صون التراث الثقافي الغني في الإمارة، بالشراكة مع المؤسسات المعنية والجمعيات والباحثين والأفراد، وكذلك المؤسسات الدولية مثل اليونسكو، لتعزيز الوعي بالتراث الثقافي محلياً وعالمياً، وأيضاً تسليط الضوء على الممارسات المشابهة في الثقافات الأخرى مثل مبادرة لجنة كولبير للجمع بين الحرفيين الإماراتيين ومبتكري العلامات التجارية الفرنسية الفاخرة، إلى جانب مهرجانات التراث المقامة في مختلف أنحاء الإمارة.

Cultural heritage is an essential element of national identity, an authentic expression of our deep-rooted traditions. We all share the responsibility of preserving, documenting, and passing it on to the next generations, both by keeping traditional practices alive in daily life, and through evolving new styles of modern cultural heritage that reflect the growth of the community.   
Abu Dhabi’s cultural vision aims to create a nation that is aware and proud of the values, traditions and history that have built our unique nation. To this end, the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi, in partnership with relevant institutions, researchers, as well as international institutions such as UNESCO, strives to support the preservation and promotion of the emirate's rich cultural heritage while also highlighting the similar practices in other cultures, through organising heritage festivals across the emirate, and leading collaborative projects such as the Colbert Committee’s initiative that will bring together craftsmen and artisans from both the UAE and French luxury brand creators.
