*** FULL INGREDIENTS LIST AND METHOD BELOW ***

Ingredients:

500g Jami *
50g grated akkawi cheese (optional)
Spring rolls or baklava dough
Dates, cut into small pieces (to taste)
Oil for frying (or cook using air fryer)

To seal the rolls:

Egg yolk scrambled with some vanilla extract and milk

Served with: Date molasses


Preparation:

1. Place Jami, dates and Akkawi cheese into a bowl (if used) and mix well
2. Add some stuffing in the middle of each spring roll slice the dough and fold in both the ends of each slice into a roll.
3. Use scrambled egg mixture to seal the rolls.
4. Fry with oil or apply margarine and fry in air fryer or oven.
5. Serve hot with date molasses.

Jami Preparation*:

1 litre whole-milk yoghurt and 1 teaspoon of salt

Preparation:

1. Mix the salt with yoghurt. Heat in a saucepan over low heat without stirring until the Jami separates from the liquid without boiling the yoghurt.
2. Take off the stove and set aside until fully cold.
3. Use colander to strain the Jami
